Vanessa is currently CEO of Idevax BV, a medical device company active in skin drug delivery solutions. She also co-founded Novosanis, as a spin-off company of the University of Antwerp and became the CEO of the company. Together with co-founder & CTO Koen Beyers, they successfully led the company through the acquisition by Orasure Technologies Inc in Jan 2019. Next to that, Vanessa co-invented several patents, has published many scientific articles as author and co-author in international peer-reviewed journals and have written several book chapters, after having obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences.
